Mustang GT launch, Ford Brazil, 2025. I wrote the campaign almost from scratch, then directed, shot and edited it. The whole market was announcing the future. I announced a manual V8, and spoke only to people who still believe driving is about feeling. The right story, told to the right person, in the right tone, sells faster than any discount.

Two ways to work with me

Automotive and motorsport films from Orlando, Florida, for the US and wherever else the road goes. Two minutes from me say the rest.

    BRANDS AND AGENCIES

(the whole film, one person accountable)

From strategy to final cut. I write the campaign, direct it, shoot it and edit it, so nothing gets lost between departments. That’s how the Mustang GT and Dark Horse launches were made.

    PRODUCTION COMPANIES

(a car person on your crew)

Book me as director, camera operator, editor or photographer on your production. I bring my own kit, and I speak fluent car, on set and with the people in front of the lens.

    Filmed on location

Motorsport keeps me on the road. Thirteen stamps so far, from Paraguay to Japan. Pick one, and the rest of that trip lights up.

    HOW I WORK

    The shoot day

The script is the plan. The set is where the plan meets weather, traffic and broken gear. One day at a racetrack, seven scenes on the board, sunset at 18:12 and a hard out at 18:30. Five things will go wrong. Keep the story whole, the crew standing and the budget alive.

Strategy first: what the brand should say, to whom, and why now. Then the craft. I write it, direct it, shoot it and cut it, so the idea arrives on screen the way it was planned.

Pedro Spina is a creative director and creative strategist for automotive and motorsport brands, and he also directs, writes, shoots and edits the work himself. He has been a car enthusiast for as long as he can remember.

He was cutting wedding videos in his uncle’s editing room at 12. He raced karts, shot concerts for bands like Linkin Park and Kings of Leon, and was already working for Vivo, UPS and Cinemark when camera rental houses still doubted his age.

In 2024 he covered the World Endurance Championship in Interlagos for Ford, building the coverage around a single video. It reached Ford Global and Ford Racing in the United States and opened a conversation between Ford Brazil and Ford Racing.

Today he is an official Ford creator in Brazil and the writer and director behind the brand’s performance content. That includes both Mustang launches in Brazil, the GT with a manual gearbox, which sold 200 units in 20 minutes, and the Dark Horse. He wrote both campaigns almost from scratch, then directed, shot and edited them.

Beyond cars, he has directed and produced for Paramount Pictures, Audi, John Deere, Motul, Alelo, Vivo, UPS and Cinemark, leading large crews and very small ones. As a creative strategist, he builds the narrative of a campaign before anything gets produced.

He is based in Orlando, Florida, writes in English and Portuguese, and takes projects worldwide.

    Light painting

Photography came first, in the photo pit at Linkin Park and Kings of Leon shows. Now it’s mostly cars, mostly after dark: studio packshots, track days, and light painting sessions for collections and one-of-a-kind cars, shot with a long exposure and a single moving light.
